Crawford Restoration

Also complete is a set of once neglected Silky Oak dining chairs that needed to be completely restored. We made new spars to replace those missing, cleaned and re-glued the joints, stripped off the old stain and polish, and then brushed on four coats of shellac. Finished with a wax they were then ready for upholstering. The fabric on the inside and outside back of the chair is a contemporary printed velvet from Unique Fabrics called Antica in colour Rhubarb and on the drop-in seats Renaissance Russet also from Unique Fabrics.
